Nationals v08.20

Well, the 2008 indoor season is over! and what a year! im exaused from the drive home, so this will be short, and i will post another after a good night of sleep.
All i have to say is WOW! something like 86 records!!!?? everyone was FLYING, and i mean EVERYONE. I have to give it up to 2 skaters(there are tons more though) that i think should be MVP of '08 nats, Kimani Griffen, and Jonathon Blair! Kimani won everything he was in but the 2 man(fell), and shattered a bunch of records, Jonathon got 5 national records and was passing like i used to be able to(lol) pulled off a win in division, in the sophomore 2 man, 2nd in the 2mix and 4 mix too. Those skaters stick out like no others, so i give my votes for MVP's to those two. Some others, adn i know im forgetting some, are Harry Vogel, that man is hauling(with a broken collarbone), Will Bowen, 08 world class champ, Walter Langley, Kirstin from piedmont, Bobby Young, Mike Fortner, Dane Lewis, and there are more that i will say tomorrow too.

I hope every has gotten home safe, A big shout, and thank you to anyone who came to the after national party, we raised about $350 bucks for the jr world team! thank you!

Nationals, version 08.14

Well, we are all here, 2nd day of racing and i think the big talk this year is about how fast the floor is!! Records have been fal... no, thats not right, they have been being shattered! USARS, GREAT JOB on the floor! The speeds this year are amazing, one record was broken by 4 seconds! The divisions are closer than ever also, sophomore men, wow, 3 broken records in the first distance alone, and the final isnt until tonight!! Pro ladies look good, Pro men is really exciting, Will Bowen and Ben Carey actually TIED in the 100m time trial, then in a race off, will got the win, AND a new record. GREAT job guys. I haven't been able to watch alot of the races as i am downstairs, but the races i have seen are great.
It looks to me like there is alot of "friendship" this year, its great to see! I hope to write some more soon!

talk to ya soon! Skate great to all competing!!!!

If you pray,.. pray today, if not,... think about doing it...

Hello again, this wont be a long one, just an informative little piece.

All of you know, or have heard, of S-Dot, aka, S. Carter, Steve Carter, etc. Well, yesterday his daughter went in for brain surgery, as far as i have heard everything went smoothly. But she, along with the family needs prayers and support! This doesn't mean blow up his phone, email, my space,.. all you need to do is say a little prayer asking God to lay his hand on them right now.. As most of you know Jada has had a few health problems in her so far short life, so God can help.. as he always can. So, all you need to do is just say a little quick prayer, its not hard, and doesn't take long!

Thanks for the read!

PS, happy early b-day Steve!!!

4th of July, You know whats comming!

Well, things have been quiet here, just work work, along with life, trying to get the tahoe back to normal and my back straight from the accident. Nationals is right around the corner, like 9 days or something(wow time flies). Is is just me, or when nationals is coming does practice time get cut into by EVERYTHING else? I guess its because im trying to get all of the boots done, and the booth ready to go to Lincoln?.? I haven't been skating much with that going on, along with the back pain from the accident, its been a hectic few weeks, but its all gravy, I, along with all my friends, family, and my wife and Lil' boy are breathing and healthy!

That reminds me.. its July 4th in a few hours.. I get emotional when i hear the patriotic songs on the radio, anyone else get that way? I think about what the hero's of this country have gone through and are still going through, and i have to shed a tear or two for them. I give them my utmost respect, and would shake the hand and say thank you for anyone who has fought for our freedom. It is because of them that we are able to go to the national championships here in a few days, and skate our hearts and legs out, win or loose, we are still free, and able to do what we love! Please tell a friend, soldier, family, brother, mom, or anyone what they mean to you, and how much you respect them for what they do.

God Bless all of you and what YOU meant to me, and thank you for reading this... i have already been told that people read and take heart to these blogs, and for that, i do thank you from my heart!

Happy 4th!!!!!!
